Pig Pen Delicacy

When your friend is a co-owner in more then one successful restaurant you never turn down an opportunity to get an early taste at what he will be serving up. My friend Andy's newest spot, Pig Pen Delicacy, located in Santa Ana at the 4th Street Market is serving up nothing but pork! Fries, breakfast sandwich, burger, sliders, fries, and even candied bacon (yes you read that correctly)!

With all the delicious options I ended up going with the Maple Bacon Jam Burger (bacon jam, caramelized onions, Havarti cheese, chive aioli, and fried onion strings) with the Pork Belly Fries (crispy pork belly, melted cheese, pico de gallo, and a creamy cilantro sauce) with a fried egg on top because everything is better with a fried egg. The food was phenominal! Nothing short of awesomeness and I am sure the pork gods approve of the food. I am looking forward to going back and trying everything on the menu.

If you are hungry and not doing anything this Saturday they will be open to the public starting at 12pm with give aways for the first 50 guest. So if you love pork and bacon make sure you get to Pig Pen Delicacy soon!
