The Do Rite Collective 1 Year Anniversary/Pomona Art Walk
This week I took my first visit to the Pomona Art Walk to support my good friend Hideki and his passion project, The Do Rite Collective. The Do Rite Collective is a collective that is focused on bringing back the essence of good energy and good music. They live by their saying "Whatever craft or trade you come from, Do-Rite by it!" This was taken from their Facebook Page:
"We all come from different walks of life, but we represent the simplicity and integrity of human connection. Whether you're an artist/musician, entrepreneur, educator, or everything in between, our mantra is simple: Do-Rite. Do-Rite by your trade, do-rite by your ethics and morals, do-rite by the ones you love. Whatever it is you do, Do-Rite!"
They curated a live lineup of Jazz, Hip Hop, and R&B Inspired Music in celebration of their 1-yr anniversary. Featuring: Dj Z10N, K.Cero, Vanessa Alvarez, Cosmic Music, and Les Enfants. The music was awesome! And what goes best with some great music? Some great food from the people over at Belly Bombz. The Pork Belly Sliders, Bomb Dust Fries, and the Mom's Recipes Wings where the bomb! If they pictures of the food don't entice you to search them out then I don't know what will!
The Art Walk is held every 2nd Saturday of the Month. All year long.
There are a few areas to check out in the Downtown Arts Colony. When visiting you can check out the Farmer's Market in Diamond Plaza, The Packing District, and the Antique Row. It is also home to over 30 Small Businesses, Art Galleries, Bars, and Eateries, as well as its Work/Live Lofts.
There is so much to see and eat! Will definitely be checking this out on a regular basis!
